Real-Time Captioning Services

On Site or Remote Captioning Services

• Real-Time Captioning is also referred to as Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART)
• CART captions the spoken word into a word for word text using captioning equipment. The captions appear on a screen for deaf/hard of hearing clients to follow along with a meeting or presentation.

Computer Assisted Note-taking (CAN) Services

On Site or Remote CAN Services

• A note-taker uses a computer to type summary notes. 
• ​Notes can be displayed on a computer screen or projected onto a screen or wall for large groups.
• CAN service is an effective way of providing access for hard of hearing and/or deaf persons who do not use sign language
